Celebrate life one note at a time.

I recently moved to Seattle and am very excited to share the love of music with anyone interested in violin or piano lessons. I also love performing in orchestras and ensembles for theater, opera, ballet, weddings, dinner parties, holiday parties, and any other event that needs music.

I found my love of music when playing in an orchestra for a musical theater production. It revealed to me that my passion is interaction with other people, supporting them to make everyone sound and look better, and most of all, sharing the beauty and joy of music with everyone in hearing distance. I studied music at Grossmont College, Saddleback College, and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Music from UCSD. For over a decade, I have regularly played in up to four orchestras at a time, played in multiple musical theater productions, performed in orchestras for ballets and operas, and performed in string quartets, trios, and duos for private performances, weddings, and dinner parties.

My teaching goals are to teach students how to play their instrument with proper technique, use music to inspire them in other areas of their lives, and to be a positive role model like my private instructors are for me.

Some of my teaching experience includes:

For violin lessons, I have been trained in the Suzuki Learning Method for violin (Books 1 and 2). However, I prefer the more traditional, European method in which I was trained. This method includes focusing on techniques and then learning well known pieces from the violin repertoire. Beginning Suzuki books are used but only for their repertoire.

I have primarily performed on violin in classical orchestras, ballet, opera, and musical theater but am comfortable playing and teaching other styles too.
